Develop an Athletic Body Using Just Your Body.
As you probably know by now, I am obsessed with bodyweight workouts (I’ve only mentioned it in every workout post so far). Besides their versatility, they are an amazing and fun way to develop an athletic body. Not just for the physique but for the overall balance, agility, strength, flexibility and endurance that you can build by simply using your own bodyweight.
The key is to progress the exercises properly over time. Take this week’s workout for instance. These exercises are intermediate/advanced. Prior to performing any of them, it is important to build your foundation with the basics. It is the safe and effective way to develop an athletic body. For a refresher, check out my Basics Workout post from a few weeks back.
Each move in this video is a progression from four foundational exercises – plank, squat, pushup, lunge. Check it out and you can even consider stacking it with last week’s video for an all out awesome workout – Concrete Calisthenics-Bodyweight Workouts.
